REPULSION Pulls Out Of MARYLAND DEATHFEST

May 20, 2008

Flint, Michigan-based grindcore legends REPULSION have cancelled their participation in this year's installment of the Maryland Deathfest, set to take place May 23-25 at the Sonar in Baltimore. The group's official statement on the matter reads as follows:

"It is with profound regret and great personal disappointment that REPULSION must cancel its appearance at the Maryland Deathfest 08. One of our band members has very recently suffered a personal loss and cannot attend. We put in a massive effort and exhausted all the options available to us to avoid having to cancel, but with only a few days left, there simply wasn't enough time to bring in a musician in to fill his invaluable shoes. We're very sorry and want to apologize personally to Ryan and Evan of MDF as well as our fans. Furthermore, we urge you to please continue to go and support the show and the incredible roster of this year's performers."

REPULSION's classic "Horrified" album was reissued in 2003 in a deluxe double-CD format by Relapse Records.
